Dr. LEI Shaohui is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Marketing at the School of Economics and Management, Southwest Jiaotong University. He earned a PhD from the School of Management, Sun Yat-sen University. His research interests include service marketing and management, new technologies and business ethics. He focuses specifically on topics such as interpersonal and human-machine interactions in service contexts, AI and consumer ethics, and the concept of "Technology for Good."
Over the past five years, he has published 10 SSCI-indexed articles as the sole, first, or corresponding author in journals such as Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Business Research, and International Journal of Hospitality Management. One of these publications is recognized as an ESI Highly Cited Paper. Additionally, he serves as an anonymous reviewer for more than ten SSCI journals, including JBE, JBR, IJHM, and Social Science & Medicine.
Abstract
This lecture will focus on a research paper published in Journal of Service Research, a leading international journal in the field. The paper is titled, "Unethical Consumer Behavior Following Artificial Intelligence Agent Encounters: The Differential Effect of AI Agent Roles and Its Boundary Conditions."
In the talk, Lei will delve into the motivation and rationale behind the study, explain its theoretical framework, and detail the research methodology employed. Furthermore, he will share his firsthand experiences with the journal submission process, discussing the challenges faced and the strategies developed to address them. The presentation aims to offer valuable insights and practical guidance for attendees.
